For over 30 years, Dr. Donna LaMar has been helping people of all ages and walks of life to heal in the aftermath of trauma. “You can start now to live your full potential, both personally and professionally,” says Dr. Donna, whose passionate, healing presentations give audiences the keys they need to overcome trauma and heal emotional pain.
If your audience has suffered trauma or works with victims dealing with traumatic events or PTSD, Dr. LaMar presents the solution you’ve been waiting for. “No one has to keep suffering the pain of what happened to them forever,” she says, as she guides the audience through her 3-step formula for healing based on extensive research and vast experience. You’ll hear riveting stories from her own traumatic past and those of others that underscore the chronic trauma so pervasive in today’s society—often inflicted by our nearest and dearest.

She has worked with people who have experienced trauma and PTSD from many causes, including abuse, neglect, human trafficking, war, injury, accidents and prison. The author of If Marie Did It, So Can I: How to Survive, Heal and Transcend Abuse and Neglect, and an expert witness on trauma and how it affects children and families, she has served as a consultant and evaluator for government agencies and is sought after by the media for her expertise.

The Christian Journey of Healing from Trauma and PTSD
This powerful talk about healing enables Christians to forgive at the deep level where they find freedom to become what God has called them to be.
Christians often struggle to seek the help they need when they have been traumatized. The inner dialogue goes something like this:“Do I go to a counselor? I’m angry about what happened to me—but I’m not supposed to be! I’m told to forgive, but it’s so hard and I feel guilty because sometimes I can’t.”
These are some of the issues Christians struggle with when they have been traumatized and need to heal. They experience fear, anger and sadness from what has happened to them and don’t know if it’s okay to get help. They often blame themselves, believing something is wrong with their relationship with God; they struggle to forgive, forget, and go on with their lives—but they can’t because there is so much pain, anger, and guilt. They feel like a failure as a Christian.
Dr. LaMar shines light on these very important issues and helps victims understand what has happened to them and learn how they can journey with God to healing. She shares her own journey of healing as a Christian and offers strategies, help and hope that can only come from both a professional and personal knowledge of the healing process.
