80-year-old active positive psychologist takes fear out of aging and inspires people of any age to stay physically, mentally, and socially active.

Do you love growing older? Are you feeling more positive and enthusiastic about life every day? “It takes no special skills to grow old, but if you want to grow old with enthusiasm, you have to consciously strengthen and nurture your body, your brain, your social involvements, and your character,” says Dr. Ron Kaiser, a health and wellness psychologist who, at 81, leads a lifestyle that makes him the envy of people half his age. The author of What Can Go Right? The Thinking Person’s Guide to Making Good Things Happen and REJUVENAGING: The Art and Science of Growing Older with Enthusiasm, Dr. Kaiser’s transformative talks help his audience actually look forward to aging! His keynotes on “Rejuvenaging” and Positive Psychology will give you the strategies you need to age in a healthy, awesome manner.

If you want to end fear of aging once and for all, Dr. Kaiser’s “Rejuvenaging” talk is for you. You’ll learn the 7 keys to making older adulthood the best time of your life and how to take charge of your senior years and own them in a positive way. “Your children and grandchildren may even be jealous because of the enthusiastic way that you’re living this special time of life,” says Dr. Kaiser, who practices what he preaches. In addition to running a busy practice and serving on the staff of two hospitals, he hits the gym three times a week, attends concerts and lectures, and builds meditation and relaxation into his life. He also runs The Mental Health Gym website devoted to helping people think and act positively to maximize their physical and emotional health.

But Dr. Kaiser’s talks are not just for those over 50—they’re perfect for future seniors, too. An expert on Positive Psychology and Neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to grow and change throughout life), his talk about Goal-Achieving Psychology—a concept he developed—gives his audience proven strategies to overcome adversities and negativism so they can strengthen their bodies and minds, boost wellness, and make cutting edge changes that lead to a fuller, more positive lifestyle. One of psychology’s most creative thinkers and a popular speaker, Dr. Kaiser has presented at local, national and international conferences.

Takeaway
Everyone leaves Dr. Kaiser’s talks with a positive attitude toward aging and the keys to making older adulthood the best time of their lives.

REJUVENAGING: The Art and Science of Growing Older with Enthusiasm

It takes no special skills to grow old, but if you want to grow old with enthusiasm, you have to consciously strengthen and nurture your body, your brain, your social involvements, and your character. Drawing upon more than five decades of working with clients and patients, Dr. Ron Kaiser has developed 7 keys to developing the psychological core to take ownership of the aging process in a positive and proactive manner.

You’ll learn how to…

  • Stop fearing old age
  • Master the 7 keys to making older adulthood the best time of your life
  • Make your body and brain work for you
  • Take charge of your senior years and own them in a positive way

Whether you are retired, planning to do so, or plan to never do so, you’ll leave Dr. Ron’s presentation with life-altering, active strategies that make you wish you’d grown older faster! You’ll make your children and grandchildren jealous because of the enthusiastic way that you’re living this special time of life.

Goal-achieving Psychology: The Psychology for Life

Historically, psychologists have focused their efforts on mental illness, rather than wellness. Dr. Ron Kaiser is not part of that tradition. With a background in the study and practice of Positive Psychology and Neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to grow and change in a positive direction throughout the lifespan), he has developed Goal-Achieving Psychology. His approach sees psychotherapy as being the mental health equivalent of going to the gym with an emphasis on proactive strategies for maximum personal growth and the development of the healthy “Type P Personality.” Goal-directed activity is emphasized, and wallowing is discouraged.

You’ll learn how to…

  • Utilize the new fields of positive psychology and positive neuroplasticity to make cutting edge changes to live a fuller and more positive lifestyle
  • Launch practical strategies to overcome adversities and negativism so that you can focus on personal growth and wellness
  • Employ the best exercises for strengthening your body, mind, and personality development

Dr. Ron’s presentations are always interactive, informative and entertaining, and you’ll leave with a commitment and a set of strategies for strengthening your psychological core.

Meet Ron Kaiser…

In addition to serving on staff at both Jefferson and Methodist Hospitals, Dr. Kaiser is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

He has presented his ideas at workshops and conferences in various U.S. cities, as well as in Cancun, Stockholm, and Istanbul. His e-books, What Can Go Right? The Thinking Person’s Guide To Making Good Things Happen and The Mental Health Gym Playbook, present his approach to improving mental fitness by being proactive and positive. His latest book, available in print, ebook and audiobook formats, takes on the issue of how to stay positive and healthy throughout the aging process. Titled REJUVENAGING: The Art and Science of Growing Older with Enthusiasm, Dr. Kaiser draws upon the latest research from the fields of Positive Psychology and Neuroplasticity, as well as the personal experiences of himself and others, to provide today’s seniors (and seniors of the future), with the keys to enable the aging process to be the best time of their lives.

Dr. Kaiser leads his personal life in a manner consistent with the principles he promotes. He balances his busy work life with a full schedule of family involvements, academic and cultural interests, and a strong commitment to physical health. At age 80, he works out at a gym three days a week, participates in a weekly yoga class, maintains a health-conscious diet, and reserves time for relaxation and meditation. His website, TheMentalHealthGym.com, is a major internet resource for the promotion of achievement and happiness through mental fitness.

NEW! REJUVENAGING: The Art and Science of Growing Older with Enthusiasm

Rejuvenaging: The Art and Science of Growing Older with Enthusiasm

The aging process has historically been thought of as a time of slowing down, declining, and “running out the clock.”  By introducing the concept of REJUVENAGING, psychologist Ron Kaiser provides a blueprint for making the aging proces an active and exciting one.  With seven keys and countless practical strategies, the book draws upon the exciting fields of Positive Psychology and Neuroplasticity to provide guidance for maximizing physical and emotional health, social involvements, and improved intellectual functioning during the senior years.  As Dr. Kaiser emphasizes, growing older is not a spectator sport.

If you are in the second half century of life, this book will make your children jealous because they’re not old enough to
Rejuvenage. But it’s actually never too early to follow Dr. Kaiser’s formula for growing older in an active, accomplishing, healthy, and enthusiastic manner by maintaining a healthy mindset and lifestyle and by:

• Owning the aging process
• Mastering the 7 keys to Rejuvenaging
• Maintaining mind and body productivity throughout your life
• Building strengths to overcome adversities
• Experiencing the joy of “feeling your age.”

What Can Go Right?

What Can Go Right? The Thinking Person's Guide to Making Good Things HappenThis is a manual to help the reader lead life to its fullest in a proactive and positive manner. Psychologist Ron Kaiser shares insights and techniques that have heretofore only been available to his own private patients.

Drawing upon the principles of positive psychology and cognitive-behavioral therapy, this book challenges the reader to make changes in the thinking process, and it provides guidance to overcome negative-thinking habits that limit opportunities for achievement and happiness. Unlike many self-help books, What Can Go Right? provides us with techniques for overcoming problems from the past by immediately focusing on building the emotional strength to take charge of the future, rather than the other way around. In doing so, it introduces several new concepts into the positive psychology lexicon as it guides the reader in how to: overcome Competent Person’s Disease; clean up the personal graffiti; and develop the healthy Type P Personality. The book is easy to read and practical, and it has work sheets to guide the process of making changes. Its strategies can be implemented immediately.
